What SignalsAlpha Is
SignalsAlpha is a read-only stock signals and alerts companion for iPhone, iPad, and macOS. The app is educational and informational only. It is not a brokerage, trading execution system, investment adviser, or financial adviser, and nothing in the app is financial advice.
SignalsAlpha does not connect to brokers, place trades, collect broker credentials, collect portfolio balances, receive trading commands, or operate execution or risk controls.
Who Is Responsible for Your Information
WorkLight Studios LLC is the legal operator of SignalsAlpha.com and the SignalsAlpha app, and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. SignalsAlpha is the brand name used for the app, website, and related services owned by WorkLight Studios LLC. For privacy questions, requests, or notices, contact privacy@signalsalpha.com.
Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to provide accounts, watchlists, alerts, app preferences, support, and privacy controls.
- Account data: email address, user ID, authentication records, session data, account status, and tier information such as Public, Member, Pro, VIP, or Admin.
- Watchlist data: saved symbols, watchlist filters, and related sync settings.
- Alert data: alert preferences, quiet hours, Apple Push Notification service token, notification delivery state, and short-lived alert delivery history.
- App activity and diagnostics: basic app usage, device/app version, performance information, and crash diagnostics if and when diagnostics are enabled.
- Privacy and support requests: messages, request type, request status, timestamps, and operational notes needed to respond to account, privacy, or support requests.
Signal and Product Data
The public market signal feed and related signal projections are product data. They are not your personal portfolio, brokerage account, trade history, trading commands, or execution data.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and secure your account;
- sync watchlists, filters, and alert preferences across your devices;
- send alerts and respect quiet hours and notification preferences;
- operate, protect, debug, and improve the app;
- provide support and handle privacy or account requests;
- understand app performance and usage patterns; and
- show ads or request advertising consent where applicable.
Legal Bases for EU, UK, and Swiss Users
When privacy laws require a legal basis for processing, we rely on the following bases:
- Contract: to provide the app, accounts, watchlists, alerts, subscriptions, support, and requested features.
- Consent: for optional analytics, advertising personalization, push notifications, and other processing where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, debug, improve, measure, and protect SignalsAlpha, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations: to respond to lawful requests, keep records needed for compliance, and protect legal rights.
Cookies, Analytics, and Website Choices
The SignalsAlpha website uses necessary local storage for theme preference and may use optional cookies or similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement. Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads tags are not intended to load until you choose to allow optional cookies in the website banner.
You can decline optional cookies in the banner, change browser cookie settings, use device privacy settings, or contact privacy@signalsalpha.com for help with privacy choices. Where supported, we treat Global Privacy Control as an opt-out signal for optional advertising and analytics tags on the website.
Ads, Consent, and Advertising Choices
SignalsAlpha may use Google AdMob for Public and Member tier users. Pro, VIP, and Admin tiers are intended to be ad-free. Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform may process device, app, advertising, consent, and approximate location or region information to request consent, honor privacy choices, prevent fraud, measure ads, and serve contextual or personalized ads depending on your settings and applicable law.
In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we may ask for consent before using Google advertising partners for personalized ads or other purposes that require consent. In some U.S. states, you may have rights to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable privacy laws. You can use in-app privacy or ad choices when available, your device advertising settings, and any consent prompt shown in the app to manage these choices.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some analytics, advertising, or measurement activity may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. Where those laws apply, you can opt out by declining optional cookies, using supported browser opt-out signals, device ad settings, in-app choices when available, or by contacting us.
Purchases and Subscriptions
SignalsAlpha may support Apple in-app purchases or subscriptions in the future. If you purchase through Apple, Apple handles your payment details. We may receive purchase status, subscription entitlement, renewal, cancellation, and related receipt information needed to provide paid features and support.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve SignalsAlpha.
- Supabase: authentication, database, and mobile-safe signal projections.
- Apple: App Store distribution, Apple Push Notification service, device-level privacy controls, and possible in-app purchase processing.
- Google AdMob and Google UMP: ads, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and consent management for tiers where ads apply.
- Service providers: vendors that help us host, monitor, debug, secure, analyze, or support the app.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, SignalsAlpha, or others.
We do not sell brokerage credentials, trading commands, or portfolio balances because SignalsAlpha does not collect them.
International Transfers
WorkLight Studios LLC operates SignalsAlpha from the United States and uses service providers that may process information in the United States and other countries. If information from the EU, UK, or Switzerland is transferred internationally, we use available safeguards such as appropriate contractual terms, data processing agreements, adequacy mechanisms, or other lawful transfer tools where required.
Data Retention
- Account data, watchlists, filters, alert preferences, and tier records are generally retained while your account is active.
- Push tokens are removed or invalidated when you sign out, unregister notifications, or delete your account, subject to normal operational delay.
- Alert delivery history is intended to be short-lived and kept only as needed for delivery, debugging, reliability, and abuse prevention.
- Privacy, account, and support requests may be retained for operations, security, legal, and compliance purposes.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain personal information. You may also have rights to object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where those rights apply.
- You can manage alert preferences, quiet hours, and notification permissions in the app or device settings.
- You can use in-app Account > Privacy & Data request flows when available.
- You can contact us at privacy@signalsalpha.com for privacy requests.
California and U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and whether a state privacy law applies to SignalsAlpha, you may have rights to know or access personal information, receive a portable copy, correct inaccurate information, delete information, opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, limit certain sensitive information uses, and appeal a denied request.
The categories of information we may collect are listed in “Information We Collect.” The purposes are listed in “How We Use Information.” The categories of recipients are listed in “How We Share Information.” We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not collect broker credentials, portfolio balances, trading commands, or execution data.
To exercise privacy rights or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where applicable, decline optional cookies, use supported browser opt-out signals, use in-app privacy choices when available, or contact privacy@signalsalpha.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
EU, UK, and Swiss Privacy Rights
If EU, UK, or Swiss privacy law applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that happened before withdrawal.
You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. UK users can contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. EU and Swiss users can contact their local data protection authority or supervisory authority.
Children
SignalsAlpha is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
